    I rode motocross in high school. Then took a 30-year break. I got back into riding in 2000 to go on tour rides and explore California. I love riding with my wife Veronica. Even though we ride less today, because we took up playing tennis on the weekends, we still enjoy riding 2-up. We tend to go on half-day rides either by ourselves or with one other person or couple.

2012 1100RT Sport Touring Bike

We added a nice custom bar that runs just under the windscreen, where we attach our GPS and phone.  Even though The newer model bikes have better performance, we like the ‘sofa’ feel that reduces the performance and makes the ride more comfortable for riding 2-up.  The bike has about 65,000 miles and is in excellent condition

2021 170cc SIM Scooter

We purchased this scooter to have fun around Santa Barbara, going to breakfast down at the pier or harbor.  We also found that we know several people that also have scooters, so it’s been fun riding with them.  As of 2023 we are putting more miles on the scooter than we are on the BMW.
