Nacimiento-Ferguson Rd Loop

Overview: Lots of good roads to explore. Nacimiento-Ferguson Rd is quite tight and twisty, ending up on Hwy 1 from Hunter Liggett. Motel or camp on Saturday evening. The route may be modified depending on timing.
Meet at Chevron on La Cumbre Rd at 9 am.
Hwy 154 to Los Olivos, meet up with riders from SY Valley who may be going
Hwy 101 North thru Los Alamos
Hwy 135 thru Guadalupe
Hwy 101 to San Louis Obispo
Hwy 1 thru Morro Bay
Hwy 46 thru Paso Robles – good place to get fuel
Hwy 101 to G14
Hwy G14 thru Lake Nacimiento
Hwy G18 thru Lockwood to Jolon Rd to Hunter Liggett
Spend the night at a local motel or campground
Sunday
Meet at Mission Rd and Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd at 9 am
Hunter Liggett to Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd to Hwy 1 – very twisty
Hwy 1 South thru Gorda, Ragged Point, Elephant Seal Vista Point, Cambria, Morro Bay,
Hwy 101 South with various route options back to SB
Lodging – make your own reservations early
Hearst Hacienda Lodge 831 386 2900 (~3 rooms available) or
IHG Army Hotels Gibb Hall 831 263 3040 on Hunter Liggett (~30 rooms available as of yesterday)
You will not have access to Hunter Liggett base, unless you have a copy of a motel reservation, along with your ID for the two motels above.
If you choose other motels, in the King City area (about 40 minutes from Hunter Liggett) there are more choices of places to stay and eat.
Camping – check on availability and reservations
Fort Hunter Liggett Campground or others in the area. Note: bring your own water, dinner, breakfast and snacks, etc. You will not have access to Hunter Liggett base, unless you have a copy of a motel reservation, along with your ID.
Food – BYO snacks, beverages (and breakfast stuff for Sunday morning)
Hunter Liggett has limited choices for Saturday evening (the Bar will be open for food and drinks). Not sure about breakfast options for Sunday Morning. There is a gas station/convenience store on site that may be good for coffee, etc.

Notes
Fort Hunter Liggett is an Army Military Base and requires vetting with a current driver’s license or passport at the Main Gate for access to the Hacienda or IHG. It is an interesting place to see.
Group size. Depending on how many riders plan to go, we may split into groups of 4 or 5 to keep manageable sizes for safety. If you prefer to ride alone or are a faster rider thats your choice. It is important that you RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE and be safe.
