8:00am Kick Stands up- Montecito Chevron on Coast Village Road, Montecito.
South to Hwy 101
East on Hwy 126
Cross over Int. 5 to NewHall Ranch Rd
quick Left on Rye Canyon Road
Left on San Francisquito Canyon Rd through the Angeles forest.
Left on Elizabeth Lake Road and veer right on Elizabeth to a
Right on Lancaster Road/ West avenue
Left on Hwy 14 north. GAS up in Mojave
North on 395 to Lone Pine.
At light take a left at stop light on Whitney Portal Road. Explore Alabama Hills.
Back to 395 to Bishop
* Speed traps entering Indepence and Bishop.
Stop for night.
Friday Sept 13- departure time to be determined
North 395
right on highway 6
left at Benton, Hwy 120- ends at 395 right (north)
Left on Hwy 120-Tioga Pass Road– open Individual ride, stop anywhere along the way- meet up for happy hour at the Gunn Hotel, Sonora. Bob P. recommends Tanaya lake for a swim and Olmstead Point for a view.
Hwy 120 to Hwy 49 north to Sonora.
Sat, Sept 14th
Sonora- Hwy 49 (1/2 mile) to 108 East (Sonora Pass)
Sonora to Hwy 108– Sonora Pass to Hwy 395.
North 395 a fews miles north along 395 look for a small diner on the right side of road for some food and drink.
North 395 to Hwy 89– Monitor Pass road
Left on Hwy 4
Stop at Bear Valley Lodge for gas and a snack break
At Murphy’s town, take a left on Hwy 4 to Hwy 49 OR
recommend a left onto Parrots ferry road to Columbia
Left on hwy 49 back Sonora,
Sunday, Sept 15th- some riders will head south on hwy 49.. A few of us are headed west across the San Joaquin Valley toward Monterey. Jim S. will split and head home to Dublin, Enzo, Zavala, Wayne and Diane and ? will head to Monterey. staying at the Stevens Monterey hotel.
