(Upcoming Rides and Events)SB BMW Riders Fall Event 2024 - The Sierra Passes 9/13 - 16
For our first night, there are several nice hotels in Bishop. Prices are around from $110 up . I’ll get a place with a pool in case riders want to come and hang out. What do you recommend? Vagabond? For the 2nd and 3rd nights in Sonora, the historic GunHouse Hotel has been recommended and has decent rates. We will stay in Sonora for two nights giving riders the option to ride other passes, Sonora Pass and Ebbetts highway 4 pass. For the fourth day, riders could do the iron butt long haul home or we can head to the coast or down closer to SB. Recommendations or suggestions. Maybe cooler on Coast- head over Monterey? For those interested in going, let’s start a conversation and get hotel rooms reserved. Also, Enzo reminded us about needing a reservation to do the Tioga pass on the weekend. So we need to get this arranged too. Let me know your ideas, recommendations and if you can join the fun!

Campo Alto Friday August 2nd to Sunday August 4th, 2024 - Camping
Note: this is a camping event, so bring the gear you need to be comfortable! Let's try to beat the August heat in Los Padres at Campo Alto. Ride up a paved road to take you to a tucked away high hideaway atop the Cerro Noroeste, you'll find solitude, serenity and unsurpassed scenery as you lose yourself in a pleasant grove of Jeffrey pines. Campsites are spacious, the air is filled with a pine-sweet scent, and you will enjoy end-of-the-road privacy. Sunday is a new moon and the stars never disappoint. I will bring along my telescope for those who are willing to stay up and see what is out there. Bring $70 to help with food, beer, and the campsite fees. We will have a taco bar dinner Friday and Tri-tip Saturday night with adult beverages available and continental style breakfasts available in the mornings. There are restaurants, a general store, and gas available 15 miles away at Pine Mountain Club. Please send any questions and RSVP me @ [email protected] Santa Barbara BMW Riders V.P. Central California’s New Airheads Air Marshal
